Jumps

Groups for athletes aged 10 (school year 6) and over with no upper age limit.

Jumping events focus on explosive power, technique, and agility to achieve maximum height or distance. Disciplines include long jump, high jump, triple jump, and pole vault*, each requiring a blend of strength, speed, and precision. Often paired with sprint training.

*Not currently offered at Mountbatten centre.

Coaching Groups

We currently only have one jump coach, Phil Budd, located at Mountbatten Centre. Coaching is combined with one of our sprint groups and these disciplines work extremely well together. Phil offers several training options based on the varing ages and needs of our athletes, including an additions jump training the the younger athletes (U13/U15) on a Thursday at 5:30 at the Mountbatten centre throughout the spring and summer months.

At present, we do not offer pole vault coaching at Mountbatten Centre. Tom Farres is a club affiliated pole vault coach, who offers coaching at Brunel University.
